Papa Coyote is performing a fundraising benefit for ALS NW

Papa Coyote is performing a fundraising benefit for ALS NW, an agency that supports people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), known as Lou Gerig’s Disease—the disease that paralyzed and eventually claimed Stephen Hawking.

Papa will be performing a night of solo piano accompanied at times by friends from the Portland music scene. The benefit performance on Thursday, January 22st from 6-8pm PST will be held both online (rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2) and live at the Skyway Bar & Grill, 71545 E US-26 in Zigzag, Oregon, near Mt. Hood.

The donation page is available at any time:

PAPA’S JOURNEY
In August of this year, Papa, (aka Evan Stuckless), was diagnosed with ALS. This progressive and ultimately fatal disease progressively paralyzes the body, usually in 3-5 years. In Papa’s case, it first has affected his legs, making mobility an issue, but still allows him to play and sing for the near future. He will be playing from his repertoire of world-roots influenced original material, traditional songs, and favorites from The Dead, the Band, and other hippy standards.

ALS NW
ALS Northwest is a non-profit organization serving the needs of nearly 600 people in Oregon and SW Washington who have been diagnosed with ALS. They provide care services, financial assistance, medical equipment loans, volunteer support, and invest in research for treatments and a cure. All efforts are provided free of charge to those we support. Every donation makes an impact.
